Creating Split Tests

With the ability to customize traffic distribution, set test duration, and select specific traffic sources, Path Pulse's Split Test setup becomes a flexible and empowering experience. Dive into the world of data driven decision making as you create, launch, and analyze Split Tests effortlessly with Path Pulse. 


In the Dashboard, click on "Create Test.”



Note you'll be creating split tests specific to the website or project you're currently engaged with.


Provide a name for the test such as "Homepage Button" and set an optional description.



Select a "Site Category."

 


Select a "Site Type" such as landing page, optin form, or order form.



Click on "Next Step."



Set the control page URL.



Set the variation page URL and name.


Add additional variations if needed.


Click on "Next Step."



Click "Add Goal."



Define the goal by providing a name, a goal value, and goal URL. 



Choose how to measure the goal such as contains, matches exactly, begins, or ends with.



Optionally set a path to the goal keeping in mind the order of the URLs since the final URL will be the goal URL.



Use the "Add Goal" button for additional goals as needed.



Click on “Next Step.”



Copy and paste the provided code, ensuring installation between the <HEAD></HEAD> tags on all variation/goal pages.



Use the "Check Code Setup" options to ensure that you're code has been properly added to your given URL's.



Click on "Next Step."



Choose the percentage of traffic for the test.



Decide when the test should conclude, based on a specific goal visits, number of visits, or passed days.



Select the traffic source you want to track for the test.



Click on "Start Test." Your split test is now created.
